Year in Review (2007): Second class of students started in January 2007, School becomes Accredited by Tanzania Education Department, Books for Africa shipment for new library shipped, Volunteers from USA and Czech Republic visit, Science Building donated, classrooms remodeled and boys dormitory started.

Many people in one way or another have helped to make this school possible. Since its conception in January 2004 we have accomplished many amazing things. View powerpoint slideshow from August 2005 or View powerpoint slideshow from November 2005

In January 2006 the school was opened with 76 students, it was nice to see students at school. The school started with 70 students but many parents have come asking for their children to attend at Magulilwa and so far we have 76 students.

Through the help we have received from individuals, churches and organization we have finished the following items:

  • Built new girls dormitory which can house 40 girls.
  • Renovation of 3 classrooms in which 2 are used by students now and 1 will be used next year.
  • Renovation completed for meeting hall/dining hall.
  • Renovation completed for 2 teachers staff house.
  • Build new kitchen and store area to be used by school.
  • Renovating additional classes for 2007.
  • Library construction is going on now with completion date set for 2007(photos below as of June 2007)

Project Timelines

We expect the school to be completed by 2009. Once completed the school will have 280 students, about 11 teachers and will provide mid school education to the students. Here are timelines to reach those dates.
  • 2004 start working on school, evaluating the needs and start the fund raising
  • 2005 complete girls dormitory, renovate 3 classrooms, dining hall, build new kitchen. First class of 70 students start.
  • 2007 furnish the library, build a girl's dormitory to house 80 students and finish 2 more classrooms.
  • 2008 build boys dormitory and science labs.
  • 2009 the first class graduates from MASS what an accomplishment for each of us. Please help us reach that milestone.
